Government figures indicate that around 30 million adults in the UK have not made a will. The vast majority of the population put of making a Will for several reasons, one being they believe that they would automatically inherit or just purely avoid the topic simply because they assume they have plenty of time to arrange it in later life.
This can cause serious consequences and heart ache for your loved ones left behind. Everyone should have a Will, especially if you own a property, are married, co- habiting or in civil partnership.
It also applies if you have children or other dependants, or if you wish to leave something to someone who is not a close family member.
It is a common belief that, if you are married or in a civil partnership, your spouse or civil partner will automatically inherit everything you own when you die. This is not true; the law sets out rules that determine how your assets are to be divided if you should die without leaving a Will.
When making your will with you, we also discuss all aspects of lifetime planning and protecting your assets within your lifetime. We take great pride is doing what is right by the client and at the same time explaining in clear simple terms without the legal jargon.
You may be concerned about issues relating to Care fees, marriage after death, divorce or discussions around beneficiaries’ subject to bankruptcy. After doing a full fact find on your situation we will advise you correctly in terms of what would be best for your situation.
With FS Estate Planning we offer you a tailored service under one umbrella of Solicitors with a vast knowledge of Inheritance tax planning and making sure everything is in place, so you have peace of mind your wealth is protected and going to where you want it to go.

Marisa did a fantastic job when it came to giving my husband and I sound advice on making ours will and lasting power of attorney. She has been professional through and through!
I would not hesistate to recommend her.
I thought Marisa was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed and answered all my questions honestly & thoroughly. She was very lovely and I would highly recommend her services to all my friends and family in the future.
When Marisa came to my home to sort out my will and power of attorney she was very nice & kind. She guided me step by step of hows it all works. I had no idea what was involved, Marisa was very friendly and made me feel at ease.
